Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the bloodstream. It is considered a "conditionally essential amino acid" because it can be manufactured in the body. Glutamine should be taken with cold or room temperature food or liquids. It should not be added to hot beverages because heat destroys glutamine.
Average serving would be 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon added to food or liquid.

Best taken in divided doses on an empty stomach as it is sensitive to stomach acids.
The best time to take glutamine are in the morning, after a workout and before going to bed. Taking glutamine when you wake up is ideal because your muscles have gone all night without nutrition.
